Bio

I've always loved writing, design, and technology, which is why I chose a path in Digital Media. Storytelling is my passion – it infuses everything I do, and my experiences in other areas help to hone my writing skills. This understanding of narrative enhances my work in everything I do, from fundraising and online marketing to camp supervision and the production of short animations. I have experience with CSS, HTML, and user experience (UX) design, which lets me make your story into a multimedia sensation. I also have a passion for addressing social issues both through my writing and in practice. While at VIU, I gained experience listening in Indigenous spaces and letting individuals belonging to affected minorities share their own stories with me.

My favourite part of media creation is taking a complex or unusual idea and figuring out how to present it in an accessible way. My goal is to take my skillset and apply it to the field of online, electronic, and especially interactive narrative. I've previously written for both traditional and electronic media platforms. Interactive fiction may be something of a niche market right now, but I'd love to help it grow.

In my free time, I enjoy writing, creating video games, picking up new hobbies, and reading anything I can get my hands on.
